01 / About

A small table.
A city-sized memory.

Sodium is a deterministic social-strategy heist RPG for one to six players. The rules settle facts. The table decides trust, guilt, mercy, and revenge.

Top-down reactor floor inside Sodium

REACTOR FLOOR / NORTH SHELFThe estate is old, repaired, wet, and still working.

The premise

You live inside an estate that meters everything.

The city supplies a floor: a bed, two meals, and enough education to remain useful. Every person carries a count opened when the estate recognizes them as alive. Life above the floor is bought with scrip, favors, equipment, secrets, and the strength of your name.

Crews work bounded operations across a shared district. When a run closes, its facts merge: Heat rises, Writs remain open, claims change hands, and later crews inherit what you left behind.

01 / WORLD

The city is auditable

Seeded rules and deterministic cycles make outcomes legible without a human game master.

02 / PEOPLE

Meaning stays human

The game records betrayal and consequence. It never automates trust, guilt, mercy, or revenge.

03 / SCALE

History compounds

Separate crews alter one persistent district. The world grows through association, not giant concurrent sessions.

The table

Leaderless crews. Visible pressure. Human calls.

No permanent party leader owns the plan. Ready-state pacing pauses the city when an operator needs to declare, coordinate, or argue. The crew uses voice to divide access, call danger, bargain for help, and decide what a clean result is worth.

Flash is visible reputation earned through witnessed skill. Heat is systemic attention. A Writ is a specific claim the district can collect. They overlap, but they are not the same thing.

Discord

A designed mechanic. Not yet a live Activity.

The planned Discord layer maps server space into city space: categories as districts, text channels as streets, voice channels as mission addresses, and direct communication as player-held secrecy. The privacy and hosting contracts are tested offline.

Current boundary

The local campaign loop is playable. Live Discord hosting, OAuth, signed sessions, and server mapping are still deployment work.

The draft

Warden pressure is real. Betrayal enforcement is still being wired.

The district computes a deterministic Warden draft from the roster at roughly one seat per four operators. The normal Activity path does not yet enforce the drafted list, so citations and dereliction are not active in the live player path. The site will not pretend otherwise.
